Begin your adventure with a convenient morning meeting in Honolulu before traveling into the lush Koʻolau Mountains. Enjoy a gentle guided hike through tropical rainforest and scenic valleys, where your expert local birding guide will help you spot Oʻahu’s colorful native and endemic forest birds, including rare and endangered species found nowhere else on Earth. Along the way, take in breathtaking mountain views, learn about Hawaiʻi’s unique ecosystems, and hear the fascinating stories behind the island’s wildlife and conservation efforts. With plenty of opportunities for photography and birdwatching at a relaxed pace, this immersive nature experience is perfect for birders, photographers, and anyone who wants to discover a quieter, more authentic side of Oʻahu. Your tour concludes back in Honolulu with a deeper appreciation for Hawaiʻi’s remarkable forests and the people working to protect them for future generations.
