You will start in the lively Cannaregio district, exploring the history of the former Jewish ghetto, the first of its kind in Europe.
Away from the main routes, the tour continues through quiet side streets past the Madonna dell'Orto Church – the resting place of the famous Renaissance artist Tintoretto – before you watch a Murano glass bead artist at work over his shoulder.
You will then discover the last bridge in the city, which has no railing, and the narrowest alley in the city, which is only 53 cm wide.
Then you will pass by the unique and colorful "Miracle Church," which is also very popular with couples for weddings, before the tour ends at the so-called "Pantheon of the Doges": the Church of Santi Giovanni e Paolo is the final resting place of more than 20 Doges! Despite its monumental appearance, the surroundings seem surprisingly peaceful and Venetian – an ideal place to feel Venice's mix of history and everyday life and to end the tour.
The tour ends at Campo Santi Giovanni e Paolo, just 15 minutes from the Rialto Bridge.
