Begin your full-day Amalfi Coast boat tour from Sorrento, cruising toward Positano and Amalfi along the dramatic curves of the Sorrentine Peninsula. Glide past the ancient Roman ruins of Queen Giovanna’s Baths and continue toward Punta Campanella, the legendary headland where the Bay of Naples meets the Amalfi Coast.
From here, the landscape transforms: steep cliffs rise straight from the sea, dotted with terraced lemon groves and whitewashed villas suspended above the water. Enter the heart of the Amalfi Coast, passing the protected marine area of the Bay of Ieranto and the charming fishing village of Nerano, with the mythical Li Galli Islands visible in the distance.
Along this stretch, hidden beaches accessible only by boat, natural rock arches sculpted by centuries of wind and waves, and sea caves carved into the limestone cliffs appear one after another. In one of the most scenic spots along the coastline, pause for your first swim. Surrounded by crystal-clear turquoise waters and dramatic rock faces, you’ll have time to snorkel, float, and fully embrace the peaceful rhythm of the sea.
Your first stop ashore is Positano, the jewel of the Amalfi Coast. This is your main stop for lunch, with approximately 2 hours of free time to relax and enjoy the town at your own pace. Wander through its narrow vertical streets lined with bougainvillea, browse artisan boutiques, unwind on the beach, or settle into one of the many seaside restaurants overlooking the water for a leisurely lunch (not included), as pastel houses cascade down the mountainside behind you.
Back on board, continue eastward along the coast toward Amalfi, enjoying ever-changing views of secluded coves and historic watchtowers that once guarded these shores. Along the way, cruise past the villages of Praiano and Conca dei Marini, known for the nearby Emerald Grotto, and pass the dramatic Furore Fjord (Fiordo di Furore), a narrow inlet carved deep into the cliffs and one of the most iconic landmarks of the Amalfi Coast.
Upon arrival, enjoy 1 hour of free time to explore this historic maritime republic — lose yourself in its labyrinth of alleys, admire the magnificent Cathedral of Saint Andrew, or simply soak in the atmosphere of its lively piazzas.
Once back on board, set off again for one final swimming stop in a quiet, sheltered bay near Amalfi, where the water is deep blue and incredibly clear. Here, you’ll have another opportunity to dive in and relax before beginning your leisurely cruise back toward Sorrento.
