Most visitors to Lake Como see the same things. This tour was designed for those who want to see something different.

Varenna is the lake's best-kept secret — a village so beautiful that even George Clooney chose it for his honeymoon. Narrow alleys that end in the water, flower-draped balconies, and a silence that feels almost sacred. This is where your day begins.

From Varenna, the boat takes you along the eastern shore of the lake — the road less travelled, where the mountains fall directly into the water and the villas give way to wilderness. Your guide narrates the journey as you round the famous Punta Spartivento, the only place in Europe where you can see three lake branches at once.

Bellagio, Lugano, Switzerland — the full Lake Como experience, seen from an angle most travellers never find.

  • Know Before You Go: Meeting point: Piazza della Repubblica 5, Milan — corner with Via Turati, in front of the newsstand. Metro M3 (Yellow Line) — stop Repubblica.

  • Know Before You Go: IMPORTANT: passport or valid ID required for Swiss border crossing (Lugano is in Switzerland). Lugano uses Swiss francs (CHF) — most shops also accept euros.

  • Know Before You Go: Note: the private boat is reserved for the tour group (not for individual families). In case of adverse weather, it may be replaced by public ferry service.

  • Know Before You Go: This tour involves walking on uneven cobbled surfaces in Varenna. Comfortable, flat shoes strongly recommended.

  • Know Before You Go: Varenna's alleys are narrow — not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs in some areas.
