商品说明

Discover the many faces of Leipzig on a varied tour that takes you from the bustling main railway station through the city centre to its most iconic sights and hidden gems.

The starting point is Leipzig Central Station, one of the largest terminus stations in Europe and an impressive example of classical railway architecture. From here, you will stroll through Nikolaistraße, past traditional trading and exhibition buildings as well as the artfully designed Speckshof, an outstanding Art Nouveau ensemble.

Your route continues to the Nikolaikirche, the historical site of the Peaceful Revolution of 1989. Just a few steps away, the spacious Augustusplatz opens up – framed by the modern Gewandhaus, the traditional Leipzig Opera House and the iconic buildings of the University of Leipzig, whose Paulinum is reminiscent of the former university church.

The tour continues to the elegant Alte Handelsbörse, a baroque gem from the 17th century that reflects the city's trading history. Right next door are the Marktplatz and the Old Town Hall, one of the most beautiful Renaissance town halls in Germany. Here you can experience the pulse of the Old Town, surrounded by lively cafés, historic façades and the bustle of Leipzig's market.

Just a few steps away is the Bach statue, which honours the composer who worked in Leipzig for over 25 years. Behind it rises the Thomaskirche, home of the world-famous Thomanerchor and the place where Johann Sebastian Bach worked. Even though access is restricted for groups, the exterior impressively conveys the centuries-old musical tradition of the place.

To finish, you can take a leisurely stroll back to the market square – an ideal way to round off the tour with a coffee, regional specialities or further exploration of Leipzig's city centre.
