Product Info

  • Yamagata Zao Ropeway:
The most famous 'snow monsters' (Juhyo) of Zao, also known as the 'ice monsters' of winter. Ride the ropeway through snow-covered forests and gaze out the window at the breathtaking, shimmering white scenery. While weather changes may affect visibility, it is precisely this harsh nature that creates the unique and magical snow monster landscape.
  • We guarantee access to the Zao Ropeway on all departure dates to view the snow monsters, with priority group entry provided, so you don't have to wait in the freezing cold for 3-4 hours. (Wait times of 30-50 minutes may still occur during peak periods.) (The supplier has already reserved priority entry spots; however, the ropeway fee is not included in the tour price and must be paid by the traveler on the day.)
*Please note: The itinerary times listed on the product page are for reference only. Actual times will be adjusted based on the reserved Zao Ropeway time slot for each departure date. We recommend confirming with us before booking to protect your rights.
  • Ginzan Onsen:
This hot spring town, filled with a nostalgic atmosphere, is the inspiration for a famous Japanese animation, with picturesque scenery everywhere you look. Stroll through the Taisho-era romantic streets and enjoy cafes, street food, and souvenir shops. If you get tired, try the free Ginzan River footbath, which uses the same spring source as the hot spring hotels. Remember to bring a handkerchief or towel to make your journey warmer and more comfortable.
  • Gutto Yamagata:
Located along National Route 13, near the Yamagata Kaminoyama Interchange on the Tohoku-Chuo Expressway. It is highly recommended to stop by when traveling to Yamagata by car, whether for a break or to buy souvenirs. The facility sells a wide variety of Yamagata specialties, including fresh seasonal fruits, famous Japanese sweets, traditional crafts, and the renowned Yonezawa beef.

If you choose to join the tour before the snow season, you may still have the chance to enjoy the autumn foliage. Even during the snow season, it is possible that you may not be able to see the snow monsters due to weather changes (such as blizzards or early warming). As natural phenomena are beyond our control, this tour cannot guarantee the presence of snow or snow monsters. Thank you for your understanding.
