Begin in Mystras, a UNESCO-listed Byzantine wonder known as the “Ghost City.” Built on the slopes of Mount Taygetos, this once-thriving capital of the Despotate of the Morea features remarkably preserved palaces, monasteries, and churches.

As you wander through its atmospheric ruins and cobbled paths, discover highlights like the Palace of the Despots, Hagia Sophia, and the still-inhabited Monastery of Pantanassa. Enjoy unforgettable views over Sparta and the Laconian valley.

Then, travel to Sparta, the legendary land of warriors. While few structures remain from its classical glory, the city’s spirit lives on. Visit the Statue of Leonidas, a tribute to the iconic Spartan king.

Optional (upon clients’ preference): Return via Mount Taygetos, the highest mountain range in the Peloponnese, crowned by its peak Profitis Ilias (approx. 2,407 m). Beyond its dramatic landscapes and sweeping panoramic viewpoints, Taygetos is renowned for hosting one of the richest and most beautiful ecosystems in Greece, with impressive biodiversity, rare endemic flora, wild herbs, forests of fir and pine, and diverse wildlife. This scenic drive offers a refreshing immersion in nature, the perfect natural finale to a day filled with history and culture.
