Get comfortable underwater again with a scuba refresher dive in Chania, designed for certified divers who have been out of the water or simply want to practise their skills before joining regular guided dives.

Your experience begins at our PADI Dive Centre in Almyrida, where you'll meet your instructor, prepare your equipment and talk through your previous diving experience. We'll then travel together to the shore dive site.

You'll enter the water gradually and begin in shallow water, where your instructor will help you practise essential scuba skills and regain your confidence at your own pace. This is your opportunity to become comfortable again with skills such as mask clearing, regulator recovery, buoyancy control and other important diving techniques.

Once you and your instructor are comfortable with your skills, the refresher continues as a normal guided open-water dive. Explore the Mediterranean underwater environment while putting what you've practised back into action in a relaxed setting.

Our usual shore diving location is Koutalas, a sheltered bay and natural nursery for Mediterranean marine life. Keep an eye out for octopus, lionfish, moray eels, scorpionfish and colourful schools of fish as you explore.

The experience is adapted to your certification level, experience and comfort in the water. Full scuba equipment is included, so you only need to bring your certification and be ready to get back underwater.

After the dive, we'll return together to the dive centre in Almyrida.

  • Know Before You Go: Participants must complete a scuba diving medical questionnaire before diving. Certain medical conditions or answers may require medical clearance from a doctor before taking part.
