Giới thiệu sản phẩm

Some journeys don't simply move through landscape — they move through time.

Departing from Chania, this private 10-hour experience carries you from Crete's Venetian west deep into the Messara Plain — the island's most fertile valley and the birthplace of Minoan civilisation. The further south you travel, the older the world becomes. Olive groves older than dynasties line the road. Bronze Age ruins and Byzantine monasteries punctuate a landscape that has absorbed three thousand years of continuous human life.

Your first stop is Agios Myron — a village shaped by water, belief, and slow time. Step inside its sacred cave, where cool stone and flowing springs have made this a place of quiet continuity for centuries. From here, the road descends into wine country. At the family-run Zacharioudakis estate, a guided tasting introduces indigenous Cretan varietals shaped by the Messara's red earth and warm light — unhurried conversation over glasses that carry the flavour of place more than technique.

Ancient Gortyna follows: once the Roman capital of the entire island, home to the Great Inscription — Europe's oldest carved legal code, still legible in stone. Your expert guide connects two thousand years of governance to the land you have already passed through.

Then Phaistos — the Bronze Age palace perched above the plain, its elevated position commanding views across the Messara that haven't changed since Minoan kings walked these same corridors.

In the afternoon, Matala. The village that once captivated Bob Dylan and Janis Joplin still carries that particular ease — turquoise Libyan water, carved coastal caves, a relaxed seaside lunch, time that doesn't need structuring.
Before the long return to Chania, a final quiet chapter at Odigitria Monastery — stone walls and stillness offering natural counterpoint to the day's scale and movement.

This is a purposefully long journey. The distance from Chania to Messara and back is precisely what shapes the experience — it asks something of you, and returns far more. Your private chauffeured vehicle, expert guide, VIP site access, and Snami's full concierge support are with you throughout.
