Morning: Immersion in nature and meeting with local producers

10:15 am: Meet and greet in front of the Marais Poitevin Bird Park at David's,
10:30 am: Board a traditional boat for a peaceful, guided cruise along the waterways of the wild Marais.
12:15 p.m.: Lunch in the park, enjoying fresh and flavorful local products. The typical Marais Poitevin picnic is prepared by Stéphane, the caterer from Damvix (aperitif and wine available at an additional fee. Please pay close attention when selecting the number of participants at the bottom when booking).

My picnic of regional products:
Starter: Marais Poitevin stuffed vegetables
Main course: Dry-cured Vendée ham with a salad of Mogette beans
Cheese: Camembert de Nermoux
Dessert: artisanal briochette with coffee/tea
Includes water and a "Tradition du Marais" French baguette

Available at an additional cost:
Aperitif: Vendée Kiki (aperitif made with wine and blackthorn from South Vendée) from Vignobles Mercier de Vix - AOC Fiefs Vendéens - 750 ml for €13.00
Wines: red or rosé from Domaine Coirier de Pissotte – AOC Fiefs Vendéens – 75 cl for €13.00

Afternoon: Explore Elosparc Park and the Cornet artisanal soap factory, and meet the animals

1:45 p.m.: Guided bike ride to the donkey farm, to meet Quentin, son of the owners of the Elosparc donkey farm/soap factory.
3:15 p.m.: Special encounter with the Poitou donkeys, an iconic breed of donkey from the region, in the heart of their field.
4:15 p.m.: Tour of the soap factory with Christelle, the manager and soap maker, and discovery of her artisanal creations made with natural products.
