Meet your guide at the Accademia Gallery, Venice’s most important museum of Renaissance painting. Housed in the former Scuola Grande della Carità on the south bank of the Grand Canal, the museum preserves masterpieces by artists such as Titian, Veronese, Tintoretto, Bellini, and Carpaccio.

Explore the landmark exhibition by world-renowned performance artist Marina Abramović, presented during the Venice Biennale 2026 at the Accademia Gallery. In this guided tour led by a licensed expert, explore how Abramović’s groundbreaking performances—such as Rhythm 0, Imponderabilia, and Balkan Baroque—enter into dialogue with the masterpieces of the Venetian Renaissance.

The exhibition celebrates Abramović’s 80th birthday and marks the first time a living female artist is honored with a major show at the Accademia. Through video, installations, and interactive “Transitory Objects,” experience art as energy, presence, and transformation.

A highlight of the exhibition is the powerful encounter between Abramović’s Pietà (with Ulay) and Titian’s Pietà, bridging five centuries of artistic reflection on the human body, suffering, and spiritual transcendence.
