Explore the charming streets of Syracuse in a colorful vintage Fiat 500, as you let yourself be carried through ancient alleys, beautiful Baroque piazzas, and the scent of the sea. Decide whether to drive yourself or be driven by a local expert, and choose whether to extend the tour to picturesque Ortigia or continue on to Ragusa or Modica.
Start from the monumental Porta Marina, the ancient entrance to the old town of Ortigia. From here, you can continue on foot towards the ancient heart of the city to pay homage to its thousand-year history in Piazza del Duomo, one of the most scenic spots in Sicily, with its spectacular Syracuse Cathedral, a former Greek temple transformed into a Christian church.
The Greek roots of the city are the imposing Archaeological Park of Neapolis, with the famous Greek Theatre and the enigmatic Ear of Dionysius, a cave with extraordinary acoustic properties. (We will indicate the location if you want to visit it; not included)
From here, you can choose to continue on to Ragusa with the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist and the opportunity to lose yourself in the Baroque streets of a city set in an era now lost in time.
Or the journey will continue towards Modica, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Depending on your choice, you can also explore Ragusa or Modica.
If you choose Ragusa, wander the narrow streets of this magical city, among artisan shops, noble buildings, and glimpses of a city that has hosted important sets such as that of Montalbano. Discover its most romantic soul at sunset, when the colors of the sky blend with those of its historic buildings.
If, on the other hand, you choose Modica, let yourself be captivated by the capital of Sicilian Baroque. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it will amaze you with its golden stone buildings, the majestic Cathedral of San Giorgio, and the opportunity to participate in an immersive experience at the Bonajuto pastry shop, where you can visit the workshop and taste Modica Chocolate, an artisanal product famous all over the world.
