This experience is designed for those who want to go beyond the most popular tourist routes and experience the volcano through the eyes of a local nature guide.
We will walk through ancient lava flows, expanses of volcanic sand and stunning stream beds, until we reach an extraordinary lookout point overlooking the Bove Valley, from where you can admire spectacular views of the summit craters.
We will also explore an impressive lava slide cave, one of the most fascinating testimonies to the volcano's activity.
Along the route, you'll learn how Etna was formed, how it changes after each eruption, and how plants and animals manage to live in an seemingly hostile environment.
The trek will introduce you to a more authentic and less well-known side of Etna, alternating exploration, nature and spectacular views on a route far from the most popular tourist areas.
