Tromsø: Fjord Tour and Visit to Sommarøy with an Expert Guide in Italian｜Norway

Welcome to Tromsø! My name is Mirko, and since 2018 I have been fortunate enough to have the best job in the world: welcoming you, Arctic explorers, and accompanying you on a journey to discover my city, the breathtaking landscapes that surround it, and the dancing Northern Lights.

In the summer of 2025, I started my activity: my goal is to offer you an authentic and memorable experience, putting all my passion for the Arctic at your service — for its rich and surprising history, its living culture, its wild nature, the silent twilights of the polar night, and the warm shades of the midnight sun.

On this tour, we will cross Kvaløya, "Whale Island," a land of fjords, mountains, valleys, and lakes that offers some of the most spectacular views in the region.

In summer, I offer this excursion in the evening, when the warm, soft light of the midnight sun transforms the landscape, painting it with long shadows and golden colors. In winter, on the other hand, we will take advantage of the few hours of light available, the so-called "blue hour", which will tint the landscape with the magical shades of twilight.

Along the route, not only will we make several stops to admire the most evocative viewpoints, but I will also tell you about the history and culture of the region: life in Tromsø, the climate, the midnight sun, the polar night, Sami culture, and much more. I will also be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Once we arrive in Sommarøy, the "Island of Summer," we will take a short panoramic tour of the village and make a few stops, including one of the beautiful white sandy beaches that make this island so enchanting.

This tour is designed for the curious, for those who love to explore and learn. In fact, along the route, I will share with you my in-depth knowledge of local history and culture.
