Discover two of Holland's most iconic sights on a private day trip from Amsterdam to Volendam and Kinderdijk, with a Chinese or English driver-guide who shares the stories along the way.

Your driver-guide picks you up at your Amsterdam hotel at 9:00 AM and drives to Volendam, a charming former fishing village on the shore of the Markermeer. Wander the harbour lined with wooden houses, watch the fishing boats, try smoked eel or a local pastry, and, if you like, pose for a photo in traditional Dutch costume.

In the afternoon you continue to Kinderdijk, a UNESCO World Heritage site where nineteen historic windmills stand along the canals, built centuries ago to drain the low-lying land. A boat cruise, included in your trip, glides you past the mills for the site's most beautiful views, while your driver-guide explains how the Dutch have held back the water for generations.

It is a fully private trip for your group, with comfortable vans seating up to 8 guests each, door-to-door from your Amsterdam accommodation. Your driver-guide handles the driving, parking and local know-how, so your day stays relaxed and unhurried.
