'Tis the season in Zurich, home to some of Europe's best Christmas markets. At the Christmas market, we’ll stroll through the specialty stalls for a mix of festive tastings and Old Town storytelling. You will taste the famous Glühwein punch (or a non-alcoholic alternative), served in a souvenir Christmas cup to take home. Savor the gooey, melted raclette cheese poured over potatoes, a beloved Christmas tradition (food included). Roasted chestnuts and other market treats are available for purchase at the market if you'd like more. Along the way, you'll hear how Zurich celebrates the season and what makes this market such an Old Town institution. This is more than a walking tour, it's a carefully curated experience, designed for thoughtful travelers who crave authenticity, storytelling, and genuine local flavor, creating memories that stick with you long after you return home.
