Discover Annecy, the "Venice of the Alps," on a private, guided day trip from Lyon or Geneva with door-to-door service and a set itinerary you can personalize. This is a structured experience, not just a transfer: your English- and French-speaking local driver-guide picks you up at your hotel or address and leads a walking tour of Annecy's old town, so you leave with real stories, not just a lift.

Suggested itinerary (approx. 10 hours door to door):

- Pick-up in Lyon or Geneva at your hotel or address (included). Scenic drive to Annecy (approx. 1.5-2 hours), with commentary on the region along the way.
- Guided walking tour of Annecy old town (approx. 1.5 hours, included). Your driver-guide walks you through the medieval lanes, flower-lined canals, and the iconic Palais de l'Ile, sharing history and pointing out the best viewpoints and photo spots.
- Lakeshore stroll and free time (approx. 1 hour) along one of the purest lakes in Europe.
- Lunch break (approx. 1.5 hours, at your own expense) at a lakeside restaurant your guide recommends - fresh lake fish, Savoyard cheese, or a terrace with a view.
- Afternoon boat crossing to the village of Menthon-Saint-Bernard (approx. 45 min) beneath its medieval chateau, then up to the Col de la Forclaz for one of the finest panoramas in the French Alps.
- Return drive to Lyon or Geneva (approx. 1.5-2 hours), arriving in the early evening.

Because this is a private tour, the suggested itinerary is fully customizable: linger longer in the old town, add the Gorges du Fier, stop at any viewpoint you like, or extend the day for a sunset dinner by the water. Just let your guide know and we will adapt the day around you.

You travel in a private, comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle - sedan, van, or luxury van depending on your group - with round-trip service from Lyon or Geneva at the same price from both cities. The guided old town walking tour, driving, fuel, tolls, parking, the boat crossing ticket, and your driver-guide's waiting time are all included in the price. Just bring comfortable shoes and your camera.
