From St. Wolfgang station you can take the train to the peak "Heaven's Gate" which is "Himmelspforte" in German, the view from the peak is extraordinary, the Matrebel goes almost to the horizon. If you decide to climb to this location, then you will miss Salzburg because it will not be able to accommodate you, and you will choose this location together with Hallstatt.
