Hike between two fjords in the Westfjords of Iceland. Walk from Patreksfjörður to Tálknafjörður along an old route between the two fjords.

While walking through Litlidalur, after passing Lambeyrarháls, hear about the history of Patreksfjörður and Tálknafjörður. Learn how they were both used as bases for English, French, German, and Dutch sailors and merchants.

From Lambeyrarháls, walk to Suðureyri, where Norwegians established and ran a whaling station around 1900. Discover a famous ground depression in Suðureyri, believed to be a fairy settlement. If you lie down to rest in the depression, you are destined to dream about your future.
