Discover Iceland’s iconic Golden Circle on a journey that blends powerful waterfalls, geological wonders, ancient history, and a serene geothermal lagoon experience. This tour captures the very essence of Iceland — from dramatic landscapes shaped by nature’s raw forces to tranquil warm waters that invite you to unwind.

Your adventure begins in Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where Iceland’s story began. This is where the first parliament, Alþingi, was founded in the year 930 — making it one of the world’s oldest democratic institutions. Þingvellir is also a geological marvel: here, you can walk in a valley formed between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates, watching the continents slowly drift apart beneath your feet.

The journey continues into Iceland’s geothermal heart at the Geysir geothermal area. Surrounded by steaming vents, bubbling mud pools, and colorful mineral deposits, you’ll witness the famous Strokkur geyser erupt skyward every few minutes — a breathtaking reminder of the Earth’s vibrant inner energy.

Then, prepare to be humbled by the mighty Gullfoss, the “Golden Waterfall.” This spectacular two-tiered waterfall drops a combined 32 meters into a rugged canyon, sending mist into the air and forming rainbows on sunny days. Its raw power and beauty make it one of Iceland’s most beloved natural wonders.

Now, you’ll take a relaxing lunch stop at Friðheimar, a unique greenhouse restaurant and farm nestled in the Golden Circle countryside. At Friðheimar, lunch is enjoyed inside a working tomato greenhouse surrounded by fragrant tomato plants where year-round crops thrive thanks to Iceland’s geothermal energy. The highlight is their famous tomato soup and freshly baked bread buffet, served with sides like butter, sour cream, cucumber salsa, and fresh basil — a warm and comforting meal perfect for recharging before continuing your journey. You can also choose from additional tomato-based dishes such as fresh pasta, stone-baked tortillas, salads, and refreshing tomato drinks. While you dine, learn about sustainable greenhouse horticulture and, optionally, explore the little tomato shop or see the Icelandic horses bred on the farm.

Finally, you’ll slow down and reconnect with nature at Laugarás Lagoon, a warm and inviting geothermal lagoon surrounded by peaceful countryside. With naturally heated mineral waters and a calm, intimate atmosphere, Laugarás Lagoon is the perfect way to end the day — soothing, revitalizing, and far from the crowds.
