Begin your experience at the Micil Distillery. Learn about the history of Irish whiskey, beginning back when whiskey and poitín were essentially the same spirit, separated only by the buying of a license.

Discover the real story of whiskey and how it’s made, and learn all about brewing, distilling, mash bills, cask finishes, and maturation. Hear about the distillery's own illicit 170-year-old family distilling tradition, and how poitín and whiskey are made at Micil today.

Discover what makes Micil so unique, and learn about the innovative blending and cask finishing happening at Micil while the whiskey stock matures.

The experience takes place in the heart of the working distillery and includes 3 tastings: 2 styles of whiskey and a very special Heritage Edition poitín made with peated barley and oats.
