We meet at Melun train station, reachable from Paris in 30 minutes on the R line (direction Montargis) - Fare 2.55 EUR per trip (You must buy your own ticket).
After picking up our bikes, we set off along the shaded banks of the Seine, where you can see the large Belle Epoque-style villas, the small chateaux, and the lock.
We will pass by the Bois le Roi recreation area, where you can swim in the lake in summer.
We continue our journey through the forest of Fontainebleau after a nice French picnic.
We pass by a small harbor, then after taking a road through the fields, we will arrive in Ablon. The railway viaduct is impressive.
We continue towards the park and then the gardens of Fontainebleau Castle.
After a break during which you can visit the interior of the castle (ticket not included, to be purchased on site), we return to Melun via the other bank of the Seine.
