Come visit the Citadelle de Marseille, (Fort Saint-Nicolas), a historical monument classified since 1969, overlooking the Vieux-Port and recently opened to the public. Here, you will discover, alongside our mediators, the history and ongoing restoration of this five-hectare heritage site, with an exceptional view over the entire harbor, the Catalans district, and Notre-Dame de la Garde. These guided tours are in English.

The topography of the Citadelle de Marseille, on a rocky spur overlooking the Vieux-Port, and its restoration according to the rules related to its classification as a Historic Monument, unfortunately make the site very difficult to access for wheelchairs and strollers (very steep slopes and cobbled pavement)
