Embark on an unusual tour of the slopes of the Croix Rousse to discover the women who have marked the history of Lyon. Through their exploits, their struggles, and their courage, they are true heroines, and yet, do you know them?
Discover the modern history of Lyon through the extraordinary lives of courageous women who have been forgotten by history. Activist, cook, worker, resistance fighter, teacher: each of these women has a story to tell.
During this walk, you will explore in a small group (max. 10 people) the slopes of the Croix Rousse, a lively district with a rich history, numerous small shops and art galleries, coffee shops, and vintage stores, and enjoy panoramic views of the city.

  • Know Before You Go: The tour starts at the Place de la Croix Rousse, and then we go down to the Place des Terreaux, strolling through the 1st arrondissement. Wear comfortable shoes as we will be going down a lot of stairs.
