Giới thiệu sản phẩm

Meet your guide outside the Surgeons' Hall Museum and receive a warm welcome. After a brief history of the museum, proceed to Old College at the heart of Edinburgh University. Hear about the squalid conditions and diseases endured by the overcrowded population of Edinburgh for centuries.

Continue to Bristo Square, where your guide will point out Napiers the Herbalist and introduce you to the history of Edinburgh Medical School, including very speedy surgery, misogyny, famous alumni, and world firsts.

Walk to the Greyfriars Kirkyard, a fitting place to hear the grisly tale of the notorious Burke and Hare and other graveyard anecdotes. Move on to the Royal Mile, where you will hear about David Hume, a key figure of the great Scottish Enlightenment, as well as a few key landmarks of this world-famous street.

Proceed down the Playfair Steps, pause outside the National Galleries of Scotland, and discuss the construction of Edinburgh’s New Town that transformed the city.

Make your way towards the climactic viewpoint atop Calton Hill, where you can look across all of Edinburgh and beyond. Pause at the Sir Walter Scott Monument, the Balmoral Hotel, and the Wellington Statue on your way before taking in the breathtaking 360-degree view of the city from Calton Hill.

After describing the buildings on the hill, including the National Monument of Scotland and the Nelson Monument, your guide will present you with a Scottish gift to enjoy. They will also be on hand to take any photos you may wish at this stunning location and answer any questions you may have.
