Derry – Included on Both Options

Depending on your interests, you can visit attractions such as the Guildhall, Peace Bridge and Craft Village, or explore some of Derry's museums and cultural experiences.

Before leaving the city, stop at Free Derry Corner and the Bloody Sunday Memorial, important landmarks in understanding Derry's more recent history.

Choose Your Donegal Experience

Option 1 – 7.5 Hours: Grianan of Aileach

For a shorter day, cross the border into Donegal and visit Grianan of Aileach, an ancient hilltop fort overlooking the surrounding countryside and Lough Swilly.

Perched high above the landscape, the fort provides spectacular panoramic views and a fascinating introduction to Donegal.

This option is ideal if you want to experience Derry and get a taste of Donegal without making it a very long day.

Option 2 – 9 Hours: Inishowen Peninsula

For a longer Donegal experience, continue into the spectacular Inishowen Peninsula, travelling through rugged coastal landscapes and the dramatic Mamore Gap.

This option allows more time to explore the region and includes the opportunity to add an optional visit to one of Inishowen's most interesting attractions.

Doagh Famine Village – Optional

Discover the story of rural life on the Inishowen Peninsula through this fascinating open-air museum. Explore traditional buildings and hear stories about life, hardship and change in this remote corner of Ireland.

Fort Dunree – Optional

Explore this historic coastal fort overlooking Lough Swilly, with military heritage, spectacular scenery and panoramic views.

Please note: Doagh Famine Village and Fort Dunree are optional stops and admission fees are not included in the tour price.
