Travel from Addis Ababa to Dire Dawa and continue by road to Harar, one of Ethiopia’s most distinctive historic cities. Explore the ancient walled city of Jugol, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and walk through its narrow streets, colorful markets, traditional houses, and historic gates.

Experience the rich Harari culture as you visit traditional houses, local markets, museums, and important historical sites. Discover Rimbaud House and learn about the city’s connection with the French poet Arthur Rimbaud.

Enjoy a traditional Ethiopian coffee experience and take time to meet local people and experience everyday life inside the historic city.

In the evening, witness one of Harar’s most famous traditions—the Hyena Feeding Ceremony. Watch local hyena handlers feed wild hyenas at close range, creating a memorable cultural experience.

On the second day, continue exploring Harar before returning to Dire Dawa for your flight back to Addis Ababa.
