Leave Jacó early in the morning for an unforgettable private journey to the Arenal Volcano and La Fortuna, combining Costa Rica’s mountain scenery, adventure, nature, and thermal waters in one full day.

Your experience begins with pickup from your accommodation in the Jacó area. Settle into your private transportation and enjoy a scenic drive through the Costa Rican countryside toward La Fortuna. Starting early allows you to enjoy the cooler morning hours and make the journey part of the experience.

Along the way, stop at a charming butterfly garden and countryside setting for a morning break. Enjoy the opportunity to purchase Costa Rican coffee, see coffee plants, observe farm animals, stretch your legs, and take photos before continuing toward Arenal.

Upon arrival in the Arenal Volcano area, begin your volcano experience with a guided hike through the surrounding landscape. This is not a climb to the crater. Instead, you'll hike toward the lower slopes of Arenal and areas shaped by the volcano's historic activity, with opportunities to see volcanic terrain, lava rocks, surrounding rainforest, and impressive views. Because this is a private experience, you can enjoy the hike at a comfortable pace rather than trying to keep up with a large group.

After the hike, it's time for some fun at the lake. Take a kayak out on the water, enjoy a refreshing swim, or add a little adventure with the Tarzan rope swing. You can participate in the activities that interest you most and enjoy the beautiful surroundings at your own pace.

Then slow things down with a visit to a thermal hot springs resort in the La Fortuna area. Enjoy time soaking and relaxing in the naturally heated thermal waters surrounded by tropical scenery. Lunch and your hot springs day pass are included, giving you time to recharge after the morning's adventures.

After enjoying the hot springs and taking in your final views of the Arenal area, meet your private transportation for the scenic journey back to Jacó.
