Your journey begins early in the morning at 08:00 AM, as we depart from Baku and head north toward the majestic Caucasus Mountains. This is a full-day experience, with approximately 8 hours of driving in total (round trip), but the road itself is an essential part of the adventure — offering ever-changing landscapes and unforgettable views.

Our first stop will be the famous Candy Cane Mountains, known for their unique striped formations and natural colors. This extraordinary location is perfect for taking memorable photos and enjoying a truly one-of-a-kind landscape.

As we continue, you will see the iconic Mount Beshbarmag from the road — a sacred and symbolic mountain in Azerbaijan. (Drive-by only, no stop.)

After passing Beshbarmag, we continue through the Guba region — one of the most scenic areas of Azerbaijan, famous for its lush landscapes, rivers, and mountain views. While we do not make a stop in the city, you will have the chance to see Guba from the road and get a glimpse of its atmosphere and surrounding nature.

Further along, we reach the scenic Gechresh Forest, where the journey becomes more adventurous.

On the way to Khinalig, we make several photo stops at panoramic viewpoints, allowing you to fully enjoy the dramatic beauty of the Caucasus Mountains.

The highlight of the tour is Khinalig village — one of the highest and oldest continuously inhabited settlements in Azerbaijan. Here, life follows its own rhythm, far from the noise of the city, surrounded by fresh mountain air and endless horizons.

Upon arrival, you will have free time to explore the village, walk through its narrow streets, and experience the authentic local atmosphere.

Optionally, you can enjoy a homemade lunch in a traditional house-museum with a local family. This unique cultural experience may include:

Freshly baked homemade bread
Local cheese
Homemade jams and compote
2–3 traditional dishes
Traditional tea served from a samovar

After relaxing and exploring, we begin our return journey to Baku, arriving back in the evening with unforgettable memories of Azerbaijan’s mountain landscapes.

  • Know Before You Go: Please note that if your hotel or accommodation is located within the Old City (Icherisheher) or on Nizami Street (Targovaya), we kindly ask you to walk to the nearest designated pick-up point, as minibuses are not allowed to enter these areas

  • Know Before You Go: Please note that the group tour starts at 8:00 AM. On weekdays, we pick up guests between 7:00 and 8:00 AM in order to avoid heavy traffic on the roads. The exact starting time of the tour will be provided by our guide one day before the tour
