From the Alpataco base, we'll take the coastal promenade: the smell of salt, oceanfront houses, and the blue horizon setting the course.
2. Caves that hold Welsh dreams
At Punta Cuevas, we hop off the bike to enter the grottos where the 1865 settlers lived their first winter. 360° viewpoint and Monument to the Tehuelche Indian: history and views in a single postcard.
3. Between salt flats and marine science
We'll pedal towards the old Piletones (old salt flats) and arrive at the Ecocentro. Free time for your touch aquarium and terrace overlooking the Gulf.
4. The ghost ship of Playa Kaiser
Golden sand and the remains of the Kaiser steamship (1915) emerging at low tide. Perfect moment for photos, a mate with a sea view, and a Patagonian snack. We'll swap photos and give you tips for your next outing (El Doradillo, Punta Loma...).
5. Bikes and desert guardians
We'll head back along the Zanja de Guardia, and we might come across cuises or Peruvian gulls that guard the path.
