Know Before You Go: A good level of physical fitness is required to undertake this 3-day expedition to Cerro Penitentes. The ascent involves challenging hikes, elevation gains of up to 1,050 m (3,445 ft), and exposure to wind, cold, and high-altitude sun. Participants must bring layered technical clothing, gloves, a hat, a daypack, water bottles, trekking poles, and suitable footwear.
Know Before You Go: The program includes transportation from Mendoza, base camp accommodation, a bilingual certified guide, full board, satellite communication, a first aid kit, and accident insurance.
