Giới thiệu sản phẩm

Our Buenos Aires food tour takes you through the historic San Telmo district for 12+ tastings, exploring the flavours, stories, and traditions that have shaped Argentina's capital. Buenos Aires is a city of grand boulevards, faded European elegance, and an almost obsessive devotion to good food. It's where tango was born, where Eva Perón became a national icon, and where entire afternoons can disappear over a coffee, a vermouth, or a perfectly grilled steak.

At the heart of it all lies San Telmo. With its cobbled streets, wrought-iron balconies, hidden courtyards, and crumbling mansions, the neighbourhood feels like a living time capsule. Once home to the city's wealthiest families, today it's a colourful mix of artists, antique dealers, musicians, market traders, and old-school eateries that have survived decades of change.

Nothing starts in Argentina without a pastry. We begin with a bola de fraile, a cream-filled doughnut beloved throughout the country, before wandering deeper into San Telmo's historic streets.

Inside a century-old bar, we'll sample house-cured jamón, chard fritters, and pickled eggplants paired with a glass of vermouth. For generations, bars like these have served as neighbourhood meeting places where locals gather to discuss football, politics, and life over a drink.

Passing architectural gems such as Casa Ezeiza and Pasaje de la Defensa, we continue to Mercado de San Telmo. Opened in 1897, this iron-framed market remains one of the city's great food institutions. Here we'll stop for a classic choripán, Argentina's legendary sausage sandwich, loaded with smoky grilled chorizo and vibrant chimichurri sauce.

The feast continues at a local institution serving crisp fried beef empanadas accompanied by a closely guarded ancestral sauce. Nearby, we'll discover some of the enduring legacies of Italian influence through slices of fainá, a chickpea flatbread, and fluffy onion-topped fugazza.

We finish at a traditional parrilla, where smoke, fire, and perfectly grilled meats take centre stage. Alongside the barbecue comes bubbling provoleta cheese, a fresh salad, and budín de pan, Argentina's beloved bread pudding and a fittingly sweet farewell.

There's more to this Buenos Aires food tour than the food itself. It's a journey through the immigrant communities, historic institutions, and local traditions that transformed Buenos Aires into one of South America's great culinary cities. While it's possible to explore San Telmo alone, you'd be hard-pressed to uncover the stories, characters, and flavours that our tastemaker guides bring to life.
