Your journey begins at Saghmosavank Monastery, a beautiful medieval monastery dramatically situated above the Kasagh River Gorge. Explore the historic complex, learn about its spiritual and architectural significance, and enjoy panoramic views over the deep gorge and surrounding Armenian highlands.

Continue to Aparan Reservoir, where you can take a relaxing walk and enjoy the peaceful mountain surroundings. From here, the journey continues through the scenic landscapes near Mount Aragats, Armenia’s highest mountain. Take time to breathe the fresh mountain air, admire the wide-open views and experience the quiet atmosphere of the Armenian countryside.

Next, visit the Armenian Alphabet Monument, an open-air complex featuring large stone sculptures of the Armenian letters. Learn about the history of Armenia’s unique writing system and Mesrop Mashtots, the creator of the Armenian alphabet. The monument is surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery and offers great opportunities for photographs.

The final stop is Amberd Fortress, one of Armenia’s most remarkable medieval fortresses, located high on the slopes of Mount Aragats. Explore the atmospheric ruins and learn about the fortress’s strategic role in Armenia’s history while taking in the spectacular mountain views.
