Concepcion Volcano is one of two volcanoes on Ometepe Island , in Lake Cocibolca, Ometepe island with it's 1,610 meters above sea level and is the most perfect volcanic cone in the country. an active stratovolcano offering hikers thrilling yet challenging experience, and at the summit, you will be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of Ometepe Island, Lake Nicaragua, and beyond—a truly unforgettable sight.
During the climb, you can observe many species of birds, a variety of trees, troops of howler and white-faced capuchin monkeys, reptiles, and amphibians.
