At 4:30 PM, your local guide will pick you up from your accommodation and accompany you to a welcoming local family home, where you’ll experience Lao culture in a relaxed and authentic setting.

Start with a hands-on Lao cooking experience and learn how to prepare traditional Lao dishes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Your local hosts will share their cooking techniques, introduce you to traditional flavors, and tell you more about the food and customs of everyday life in Laos.

After cooking, sit down and enjoy a delicious home-cooked Lao dinner together with your hosts.

The evening continues with a traditional Baci ceremony, one of Laos’ most meaningful cultural traditions. Learn about the ceremony’s significance and take part in this beautiful ritual, which is traditionally held to welcome guests and offer wishes of happiness, good fortune, health, and prosperity.

This is more than a cooking class—it’s an opportunity to meet local people, share a meal, discover Lao traditions, and experience the genuine warmth of local life in Nong Khiaw.
At around 8:30 PM, your local guide will accompany you back to your accommodation, bringing your memorable Lao cultural experience to a close.
