Begin your adventure by boarding a boat and setting off on the Essequibo River, the largest river in Guyana. Make your first stop at Fort Island, where you can explore the Dutch ruins and learn about the island’s history.

Continue to the bustling mining town of Bartica, where you can experience the local culture and enjoy a delicious lunch. Next, head to Fort Kyk-Over-All, another historic site that offers a glimpse into the past once the tide permits.

For lunch and island experience, choose between two options: immerse yourself in nature at Sloth Island or enjoy the modern amenities and pool at Aruwai Resort. If you choose Sloth Island, you’ll have the chance to see sloths in their natural habitat and explore the island’s lush surroundings. If you choose Aruwai Resort, you can relax by the pool with a poolside bar and enjoy the resort’s modern facilities.

Finally, take a refreshing swim at Baracara Falls before unwinding on a serene and beautiful sunset ride back home.
