✨ 12-Day Tour – History, Culture, and Landscapes of Southern Bolivia

Embark on an epic 12-day journey through southern Bolivia, combining history, culture, nature, and adventure across some of the country's most iconic destinations.

The tour begins in Cochabamba, traveling through the Valle Alto and visiting traditional villages, ancient pre-Hispanic archaeological sites, and colonial towns that have preserved their architecture and cultural identity. The journey continues to the historic city of Sucre, where you can explore panoramic viewpoints, museums, parks, artisan markets, and cultural venues, as well as enjoy its colonial architecture and unique photo-friendly settings.

In the surrounding area, you will also visit communities renowned for their textile traditions and significant cultural heritage, where ancient craft techniques are kept alive.

The journey then continues southward, traversing inter-Andean valleys and agricultural landscapes until you reach Tarija, known for its colonial architecture, historic squares, and winemaking tradition. During your stay, you will visit viewpoints, dams, natural waterfalls, and cultural venues, and you will also have free time to enjoy the city's nightlife.

The route continues to the southern high plateau, where you will visit the stunning high Andean lagoons of the Tajzara region, a unique ecosystem where you can observe Andean flamingos, sand dunes, and desert landscapes surrounded by mountains.

The tour continues to the historic city of Potosí, where you will discover its main square, historical museums, old colonial buildings, and the famous Cerro Rico, a symbol of the region's mining past. You will also visit old historic haciendas and rural areas that showcase traditional life in the area.

Later, the expedition will reach the Uyuni Salt Flats, the largest salt desert in the world. Here, you will explore the famous Train Cemetery, salt-producing communities, sculptural monuments, and natural viewpoints, and you will also enjoy an unforgettable sunset in the middle of the salt flat.

Your adventure continues to the southwestern Andes, where you will explore salt flats, volcanoes, and colorful lagoons within a nature reserve boasting great biodiversity.
