Make the most of your layover at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport with a private guided tour of Taipei by MRT and on foot.

Choose the 6-hour or 8-hour tour according to your layover time. After completing immigration and collecting your luggage, meet your guide in the arrivals hall of Terminal 1 or Terminal 2. Travel together by Airport MRT into central Taipei and discover the city’s modern landmarks, historical sites, cultural neighborhoods, and local traditions.

The 6-hour tour begins at Taipei 101, Taiwan’s most iconic skyscraper. Admire its bamboo-inspired architecture from the outside, learn about its importance to modern Taipei, and explore the shopping mall. The observatory can be visited at your own expense if your layover schedule allows.

Continue by MRT to Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. Walk through Liberty Square, see the National Theater and National Concert Hall, and learn about Taiwan’s modern history and political development.

From there, continue on foot through 228 Peace Memorial Park and pass the Presidential Office Building, where your guide will explain the historical significance of the surrounding area.

Finish the city route in Ximending, Taipei’s lively pedestrian and entertainment district. Explore its colorful streets, pop culture, shops, local snacks, and energetic atmosphere before returning to the airport.

The 8-hour tour follows the same route and continues beyond Ximending to Longshan Temple, one of Taipei’s oldest and most important places of worship. Discover its architecture, religious traditions, and the combination of Buddhism, Taoism, and Taiwanese folk beliefs practiced by local worshippers.

Continue to Dihua Street, one of Taipei’s best-preserved historical commercial districts. Walk past traditional shophouses and discover stores selling tea, dried foods, herbs, textiles, and local products.

The itinerary is carefully planned around your layover schedule to ensure a smooth return to the airport with enough time before your departure flight.

At the end of the tour, travel back to Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport by MRT. Your guide will accompany you to the correct terminal with enough time for your departure procedures.
