As evening falls at 6:00 PM, a local guide picks you up by traditional cyclo from your hotel in central Hue, beginning a culinary journey through the ancient capital. You’ll stop at beloved local eateries to taste iconic dishes such as Banh Beo, Nem Lui, Com Hen, Bun Bo Hue, and traditional Che, while learning the stories behind Hue’s rich food culture. Relax on the cyclo as you explore the city’s quiet streets at night, ending the experience with a scenic ride across the historic Truong Tien Bridge.
Banh Beo, Banh Loc, and Banh Nam are traditional Hue rice cakes with shrimp and pork, served with signature fish sauce, alongside crispy Banh Khoai and fragrant Nem Lui.
Next, the group heads to Con Hen to enjoy Com Hen, a humble dish considered the soul of Hue’s street food, featuring small clams combined with fresh herbs and clam broth for a light yet flavorful taste.
The journey continues with the iconic Bun Bo Hue, featuring a broth simmered from beef bones and lemongrass, seasoned with fermented shrimp paste and chili oil, creating a light yet bold and unforgettable flavor.
