Explore bold plant-based cooking in this hands-on 4-course cooking class in San Jose. Guided by Chef Parsati, you’ll learn how to use international spices, fresh vegetables, flavorful dips and aromatic spreads to turn vegan ingredients into colorful dishes inspired by India and the Mediterranean. This 2-hour experience includes a 4-course meal and is a great fit for beginners, couples, healthy eaters and anyone curious about creative vegan cooking.
Begin your 4-course meal by making tofu falafel with aromatic Asian spices and a tangy dip. Next, prepare crispy rice and vegetable cakes served with spicy chutney, learning how to create a golden exterior with a soft, flavorful center. Then, move on to Mediterranean-style flatbread topped with ingredients such as olives, roasted bell peppers, mushrooms and onions. Plant-based cooking definitely did not come here to be boring.
To finish, prepare dark chocolate coconut fudge for a rich vegan dessert. At the end of class, sit down to enjoy the full 4-course vegan meal you helped create and leave with new ideas for healthy, flavorful cooking at home. Wine and beer are welcome, and most dietary restrictions can be accommodated if noted before the event.
