Frank Lloyd Wright and Griffith Observatory Hike｜United States

We will begin our hike at the Hollyhock House, Frank Lloyd Wright's first California commission and the birthplace of California Modernism. You'll take a walk around the outside of the home to admire the revolutionary design and learn about the design principles that guided the most famous American architect.

Before you know it, you'll be walking up Vermont Ave to see where the locals spend their time, discovering secret Disney history hiding in the back of a modern skateboard store and learning where to find some of the best local souvenirs. Get the scoop on all the best bars and restaurants in the area, so you know where to grab a bite after the tour.

Around an hour into our walk, we will begin the actual hike. We head up into the hills of Los Feliz to see more amazing homes by modernist masters like Richard Neutra, Rudolph Schindler, and Paul Revere Williams. You'll see a huge variety of architecture in the neighborhood and pass a second Frank Lloyd Wright home!

Finally, you will end your tour at the Griffith Observatory, an architectural masterpiece that provides sweeping views of Los Angeles and the Hollywood Sign. This tour ends at one of the most scenic spots in all of LA and your guide will make sure you know how to use the shuttle or rideshare to get back to the starting point!
