Product Info
Turn dinner into a trip through Thailand’s boldest flavors in this hands-on 4-course cooking class in Pittsburgh. Guided by Chef Samantha, you’ll learn how to build a full Thai menu from starter to dessert while working with coconut milk, kaffir lime leaves, chilies, Thai basil, tamarind and other ingredients that bring Thai cooking to life. This 2.5-hour experience includes a 4-course meal and is beginner-friendly.
Start your 4-course meal by simmering tom kha goong, a creamy shrimp soup made with coconut milk and bright kaffir lime leaves. Then, prepare green curry chicken with coriander, chilies and Thai basil before moving on to vegetable pad Thai with rice noodles, eggs, tofu and tamarind. You’ll learn how to layer heat, richness, freshness and tangy flavor without turning your kitchen into a full drama series.
To finish, make coconut mango sticky rice with sweet mango, sugar, coconut and tender sticky rice. At the end of class, sit down to enjoy the full 4-course Thai feast you helped create. This experience is a great fit for couples, friends, date night or anyone who wants to learn authentic Thai cooking in a relaxed, hands-on setting. Guests are welcome to bring wine or beer to enjoy during the class, and most dietary restrictions can be accommodated if noted before the event.
