Product Info

Discover Rome through its most authentic flavors and its most fascinating stories. This tour is not just a street food tasting, but an experience that combines gastronomy, culture and popular traditions. Accompanied by a local guide, you will stroll through historic squares, charming alleys and neighborhoods full of character.

Between tastings, you'll hear stories, fun facts and legends that turn each stop into a journey through time.

1. Campo de' Fiori – The heart of authentic Rome

The tour begins in Campo de' Fiori, one of the most distinctive squares in the city. Today it is famous for its market, but it was once the site of public executions. In the center stands the statue of Giordano Bruno, a symbol of freedom of thought.

Here, we will begin our culinary journey with two classics of Roman street food: freshly baked pizza rossa and pizza with mortadella.

For centuries, this neighborhood was the center of everyday Roman life, bustling with merchants, artists and travelers.

2. Il Filettaro – The tradition of Roman cod

We'll continue to one of the historic establishments most loved by Romans, where we'll sample the famous fried cod fillet accompanied by a glass of wine.

During our stop, we'll learn about the history of cod and why it has become one of the symbols of Roman street food.

3. The Jewish Ghetto – History, Culture and Traditions

We'll enter the evocative Jewish Ghetto, one of the oldest and most fascinating neighborhoods in Rome. Strolling through its narrow streets, you will discover the history of the Roman Jewish community and the events that have shaped this place over the centuries.

Here, we will savor the famous artichoke alla Giudia, one of the most iconic specialties of the Jewish-Roman tradition.

4. Tiber Island – Between myth and legend

We will cross the Tiber to reach Tiber Island, the only island on the river, which has always been shrouded in myths and ancient tales. According to legend, it was formed from the body of the last king of Rome and over the centuries became a place dedicated to healing and hope.

Here, we'll take a break to enjoy an artisan gelato in one of the city's most picturesque spots.

5. Piazza dell'Anguillara – Medieval Rome

The route will continue to Piazza dell'Anguillara, a small hidden gem that still retains the atmosphere of medieval Rome.

Amid cobbled streets, medieval houses and ancient towers, a Rome far from the beaten path still survives.

6. Trastevere – The neighborhood with a Roman heart

Our journey will end in Trastevere, the most authentic and distinctive neighborhood in the capital. Among picturesque alleys, lively little squares and old taverns, you will soak up the atmosphere of Rome as it once was.

Here, the final food tasting awaits you with two iconic Roman street foods: fried zucchini flowers and supplì with a stringy cheese center.

Here ends a journey through flavors, legends and traditions that continue to live on in the city's alleyways.
