Bad Dürkheim: Small schnapps tasting with a look inside the Mesel Distillery｜Germany

Our small schnapps tasting will give you an insight into the world of spirits. From a selection of over 30 delicious schnapps and liqueurs from our winery's distillery, you will get to sample 5 fine specialties. There are exciting fruit brandies to discover, such as mirabelle plum brandy, Williams pear brandy, apricot brandy and many more, expressive brandies made from grapes (brandy, various marc brandies and grape brandy) and truly exotic varieties such as rowan berry liqueur, Jerusalem artichoke brandy and hazelnut schnapps. The range is rounded off by a small selection of aromatic liqueurs such as vineyard peach, blackcurrant and fine, pink almond liqueur.
How does schnapps distilling work? What is the difference between "brandy" and "schnapps"? We will answer these questions—and many more, if you like—during a short tour of the distillery.
