Folk Necklace Workshop

Everything will start in my workshop in Cracow where we'll all gather together. The workshop lasts an hour.
Discover the beauty of Polish folk traditions and create your own unique folk-inspired necklace. During this creative workshop, participants will work with wooden beads, learning various decorative techniques to transform simple materials into a beautiful handmade piece of jewelry.

Folk necklaces are a recognizable element of traditional costumes in many cultures. In Poland, they are most often associated with vibrant red beads, which were believed to protect the wearer from evil spirits, bad luck, and curses. Over time, these necklaces became not only a symbol of protection but also of elegance, femininity, and cultural heritage.

During the workshop, participants will decorate wooden beads using the decoupage technique, paint delicate floral motifs inspired by traditional folk art, and assemble their own necklace by stringing the finished beads together. Each participant will have the opportunity to create a personalized design that combines traditional inspiration with individual creativity.

This hands-on experience is suitable for beginners and requires no previous artistic skills. It is a wonderful opportunity to learn about Polish folk culture, explore decorative arts, and take home a unique handmade souvenir.

Workshop activities:

Decorating wooden beads with decoupage
Hand-painting patterns
Learning basic jewelry-making techniques
Designing and assembling a folk-style necklace

At the end of the workshop, each participant will leave with a finished necklace inspired by Polish folk traditions and crafted entirely by hand.
