Full-Day Sightseeing Tour to Piedras Rojas, Altiplanic Lagoons, and Atacama Salt Flats｜Chile

At 6:00 a.m., we'll begin our journey from San Pedro de Atacama towards the Tropic of Capricorn, one of the most iconic geographical landmarks in northern Chile. Along the way, we'll stop to enjoy an open-air buffet breakfast surrounded by the stunning desert landscapes, the perfect time to recharge before continuing the adventure.

Our next stop will be Toconao, a charming village built in liparite stone, renowned for its traditional architecture, quiet streets, and the iconic bell tower of its church. We'll then continue to Socaire, a picturesque Andean village where we'll enjoy a delicious lunch of local produce, surrounded by the vastness of the high plateau.

Later, we'll visit the impressive Piedras Rojas and the Aguas Calientes Salt Flat, where the intense reddish color of the rock formations contrasts with the turquoise waters and the white of the salt flat, creating one of the most surprising landscapes in the Atacama Desert. Afterwards, we'll visit the majestic Miscanti and Miñiques Altiplanic Lagoons, located more than 4,000 meters above sea level, an environment of extraordinary beauty dominated by volcanoes and a rich high Andean fauna.

To round out the experience, we'll head to the Salar de Atacama, the largest salt flat in Chile, where we can observe flamingos in their natural habitat and take in one of the desert's most iconic ecosystems. A complete tour that combines nature, culture, cuisine, and some of the most spectacular landscapes in the world's driest desert.
