Impormasyon ng produkto

This tour combines a walk through Le Marais, one of Paris's oldest and best-preserved neighborhoods, with a series of food tastings at local businesses. Unlike much of central Paris, Le Marais largely escaped Baron Haussmann's 19th-century redevelopment, so its narrow medieval streets and historic mansions remain intact. The area is also home to Paris's traditional Jewish quarter and Place des Vosges, one of the oldest planned squares in the city, giving the neighborhood layers of history that span several centuries.

A guide leads small private groups on foot through these streets, starting at 133 Rue Saint-Antoine, near the metro. Along the way, guests learn about French food culture and the rules behind it: the regulations governing the baguette, labels like AOP (Appellation d'Origine Protégée), and the MOF (Meilleur Ouvrier de France) title awarded to master craftspeople. The tastings follow a set order: a croissant at a bakery, a tarte at a patisserie, and macarons at a chocolate shop. From there, the group tries onion soup, one of the most classic French entrées, and a savory crepe, finishing at a wine bar for wine paired with cheese. If you don't eat onion soup, another entrée can be offered instead. Non-alcoholic drinks are available for guests under 18 or who don't drink alcohol, and vegetarian options can be arranged in advance.

Along the route, guests also pass the Musée Carnavalet. The tour runs 3 hours, after which guests are free to continue exploring Le Marais on their own.
