Begin your day with a convenient pickup from your accommodation and head out along the N2 to explore the southern side of the Stellenbosch Winelands. Along the way, encounter some beautiful wine farms and learn about the history of the area.

The first estate you visit is Vergenoegd Löe, which has 330 years of heritage in farming. Early visitors get to see the ducks going to work in the vineyards as a means of natural pest control. Their wines are sustainably produced and have a distinct maritime coolness.

Next, head to Vergelegen, with its beautiful gardens and vibrant heritage. The superb vintages from this estate are only matched by the wonderful food at their restaurants. After a sumptuous lunch and excellent wines, head to the third and last estate for the day.

On the slopes of the Hottentots Holland mountain range lies Idiom estate, specializing in Italian cultivars and producing divine wines with spectacular views looking over the Cape flats to the peninsula.
