Product Info

Begin your journey in Sighișoara, one of Europe’s best-preserved medieval towns. Founded by Transylvanian Saxons in the 12th century, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the few still-inhabited medieval citadels in Europe.

Stroll through colorful buildings and cobblestone streets, surrounded by medieval defensive walls. See the iconic Clock Tower, which offers panoramic views of the town.

Learn about Sighișoara’s past as a flourishing commercial center in the Middle Ages, built for defense and administration by German settlers. Discover the town’s connection to Dracula, as the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler.

Next, visit the Biertan Fortified Church, located in a picturesque Saxon village in Transylvania. Nestled in rolling hills, it’s part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993. See the church, which served as the bishopric seat of the Transylvanian Saxons for nearly 300 years, surrounded by three fortified walls, towers, and bastions.

Explore the Gothic-style architecture, stunning altarpiece with 28 panels, and one of the most sophisticated locking mechanisms of the time. Admire the impressive organ with over 1200 pipes, still used for concerts today.

Finally, head to Mediaș, one of Transylvania’s best-preserved medieval towns. Founded in the 13th century by Saxon settlers, Mediaș invites you to walk through time with cobbled streets, fortified churches, and centuries-old legends.

See the Tower of the Buglers (St. Margaret’s Church Tower), the tallest tower in town, with a slight tilt, known as “Transylvania’s Leaning Tower.” Visit St. Margaret’s Evangelical Church, with its Gothic architecture, fortified with inner walls, and home to a 500-year-old mural and an organ with over 1000 pipes.
Please be aware that transport cost is not included (800lei/group).
