Product Info

The tour departs in front of Kotor Old Town and, during a 45-minute ride, provides splendid panoramic views of the bay. On the way, we will pass near some recognizable landmarks like St. Mateus church and the Temple of Our Lady.

After about a 45-minute ride, we will reach the famous Blue Cave for a 30-minute break, including swimming and a photo session. The Blue Cave is a natural cave with two entrances that was created at the bottom of a 100-meter cliff as a result of the impact of sea waves on the porous rocks of the Luštica peninsula over thousands of years. Through the entrance, sunlight enters its interior and wraps around the surface of the water making great shades of blue by which the cave got its name. Swimming inside the cave is an unforgettable experience.

On the way back we will enjoy panoramic views of Mamula – a natural island at the entrance to Boka Bay where, in 1852, a fortress was built by the Austrian navy. Later, during the First and Second World Wars, it was used as a notorious prison and now it is converted to a 5-star resort.

The next stop is at the former military submarine tunnels used during the Second World War for hiding and repairing submarines.

The tour continues with a 30-minute visit of Our Lady of the Rocks island – an artificial island made in the XV century by local sailors in honor of Our Lady for the safe return from their trips. The present church was built by the Venetians in 1630 and it houses numerous works of art by famous local painter Tripo Kokolja as well as numerous silver and gold plates – gifts from seamen for their safe passages. A special curiosity is a unique tapestry hand-made by Jacinta Kunic-Mijovic for over 25 years. The tapestry was partially made from her own hair – gold in youth and silver in old.

The tour ends in front of Kotor Old Town.
